Description

Replace a damaged cable or corroded connectors. This cable connects the battery to the logic board. This assembly includes the sleep sensor, which detects a magnet located in the display assembly to automatically put the computer to sleep when the lid is closed.

The non-ES battery connectors have 2 more pins and different spacing than the ES models. To determine which version you have, remove the upper case and check to see if the words "Energy Star" are printed on the board in the second RAM slot. The Santa Rosa/Penryn models of the MacBook do not have Energy Star printed on the logic board, but they still need an Energy Star battery connector.
