Screen is black and unresponsive
After droping my phone, the screen cracked and went completely white but the screen was still recognizing my touch and i could hear the clicking on the keyboard, after replacing the broken screen with a new digitizer, glass, and lcd my iphone does not recognize my touch and the screen is completely black, in this whole process i payed close attention to cables 1,2,3 to prevent any sort of damage. i also put the old lcd with the new glass and it recognized my touch but the white screen was the biggest issue to solve, so did i get a defective lcd and digitizer? which i find unlikely or did i fry some other component inside?
Is this a good question?

I am confused. Is this what happened? Your LCD was not turnin on, but you could hear typing. You replaced the display assembly (Glass, digitizer, LCD) and now the screen is still black but you cannot get it to make keyboard noises? When was your screen turning white?

i had dropped the phone thus causing a white screen with black lines, and a cracked screen i bought a new glass, digitizer and LCD, after properly and carefully replacing old screen, digitizer, and LCD my screen does not respond at all, i cant see anything and it does not respond to my touch.

Can you confirm that the phone is turning on? Check if the phone vibrates when you toggle the vibrate switch. Usually bad display assemblies will have one thing wrong with them (bad pixels, faulty touch zones) not everything.

The phone is fine, it connects to itunes with no problem, it vibrates and everything the only problem is that screen, ive tried to do what you said below by holding it with a finger and still no luck, i think i just got a defective LCD or i fried the logic board somehow but i seriously doubt that

Another good trick would be to reinstall the old LCD and see if you can still get a white screen out of it. If you can, then you probably bought a bad LCD and should get a return for it if possible. If you bought it from us you can email sales@ifixit.com to set one up.
