Dell Inspiron 1010 doesn't power on...

I came back from work the other day to find that my Laptop doesn't power on, I left it on standby mode when I left.

It might have been a power surge or something, not sure.

opened it up, teared it up, cleaned the board with Benzene then closed it, to no avail.

I used a mains screwdriver tester and found out that there's electricity running through the board and components.
