Have you checked the battery? You may also need to clean the battery contacts if they are dirty. Sometimes the batteries leak causing damage you could try wiping them with a cotton swab (Q-Tip) moistened with some white vinegar. Not to wet now! As you don't want the vinegar to cause more damage.
