dcnunz88, since we can't see what you see and going only by your description it sound slike a backlight error. This could be either due to a bad inverter or bad backlight. If your TV is still under warranty, I'd got that route. If it is not, you could try a new inverter. This will of course totally depend on the exact model of your TV
