Why won't my iMac turn on? Clicking sound coming from base
Text:
Hello everybody!
I'm hoping somebody can help me. I have an iMac g4 15" and all of a sudden it's refusing to turn on. It's making a clicking/ticking noise but no display. My guess would be the hard drive.. but I know with the newer Macs a hard drive fault is indicated with a flashing folder sign.
Any ideas?

Update! I have since got the iMac to power on, thanks to the PMU battery being replaced.

But now I face another problem! I do not know the password, and when inserting the original OS disc(s) and holding C on start-up it just takes me to the normal password screen. My guess is the Superdrive is faulty?
