Title:

Hard Drive not Detected after upgrading to SSD

Text:

I upgraded to a SSD after my stock hard drive failed. After running diagnostics, all hardware works but no HDD is detected at BIOS. Tried reseating it and still no luck. Upgraded to Corsair 120gb SATA 3 SDD.
-Dells website and phone service both were unable to answer if my device would accept HDD to SSD replacement.

-Thank you for your quick response Dan. This SSD is backwards compatible so there is still something awry.

- My system would boot to desktop (with windows on usb) and could not complete windows download with a storage space issue. Knowing I had the space that was the first I noticed that there was no HDD being recognized- now I only get as far as setting language pref and cannot reach the desktop. Does this raise any flags?
