-Properly securing the Home button bracket and insuring it isn't bent in such a way to leave extra space between the actuator and the bracket is an important part of the repair. Also replacing the Home Button gasket will insure the button doesn't flop around.

So yes, it is possible to do the job right but I suspect that the shop doesn't want to have to open up the iPad again.

So yes, it is possible to do the job right but I suspect that the shop doesn't want to have to open up the iPad again.
