Timer is moving, wont aggitate

Kenmore 80 model.. Since i havent over loaded it, just keep it busy! I put in a small load it filled but wont aggitate. After reading the previous question, how do i check the lid switch?  Also, the timer knob seems to be moving so i assume its not the timer?
