Restart the computer to get the computer unstuck.  Once you are in Windows, I suggest that you disable sleep and hibernate mode - sometimes problems will result, as you have seen.

Go to Control Panel - power settings.  Go to the advanced settings, expand the Sleep entry, and disable sleep and hibernate on each of the options.
