It is possible to change the battery and it isn't that hard. Make sure you unscrew the screws that are hiding under the rubber padding first tho because I didn't realize they were under there. Nothing was damaged tho. All you have to do is remove the screws along the outside and then pry open the back. Once you pry open the back, unscrew the batter from it's holding place and gently lift it out of the computer. It will be taped to a few things (I dont know the technical term) but that's ok, just slowly peel the tape off. At the end of the colorful chords, it will be snapped into place, all you have to do is gently unsnap it. There might be a black foam rectangle piece stuck to it but taking it off gently is ok. Once the battery is out, screw the screws that held the battery in place back in so you don't lose them and reattach everything. Hopefully this helps! I don't know where to find a new batter tho because I am also looking haha but as long as the laptop is plugged in, it will work without a battery.
