the getting hot part is what would worry me. Seems like it is time to open up your laptop. Clean the fans, make sure that they are working. Clean the airflow ducts. After that you want to remove the cpu/heat sink,. Clean the old thermal paste off the CPU (may use a cotton tip applicator). After that replace the thermal paste.
