I have tried this method and many others to get my BeatsXes functioning again and nothing ever works. The most hope I've had is plugging them into my Mac with the Updater running and then doing the "serious" reset by pressing the power button and the middle button on the inline remote and holding both at the same time for about 30 seconds. They power off after 15 seconds but I keep holding the buttons just in case. Then, I let go and after a few more seconds (during which, the LED blinks red and white), the Beats Updater recognizes them and they seem to be charging but the battery level never seems to increase (according to the Beats Updater which shows the same 1 of 5 dots on the battery indicator).
