-Sometimes one ore more of the pins in the connector that magnetically attaches to the MacBook Air get pushed in and do not make full contact. By firmly holding the cord about 2 to 3 inches from the end of the magnetic plug and tapping the connector on a hard surface will move the pins back into place and restore a secure connection.
