I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 come in for repair and customer told me they were using it one day and it decided to shut off and not turn on again. They managed to get the battery icon to come up once after unplugging and plugging the cable back in and that was it….. This was back in 2018 when it stopped working and they put it in a drawer for a year until now and brought it in for me to diagnose it
The screen itself is fine (no lcd cracks) and the age of the phone is November 2016….
The charge port is fine because when I hooked up to my USB meter, it’s showing 0.38amps. I know it should be higher but was wondering if a bad battery would cause it to only show that voltage and not charge. Sometimes if you leave the phone plugged in for awhile, it’ll drop to 0amps.
We also tried wireless charging and the phone still does not turn on. Is this a bad battery and what else should I look for?
