You can always unpair and repair it with your device. Does the crackle happen with every device? Have you tried pairing it with another phone?

If it’s new,and unpairing doesn’t fix it,you should return it under warranty if it still has one. Also,many manufacturers give a one year warranty. So if the store you bought it from won’t take it back,you can contact jbl.
