Title:

How to determine if iPad homebutton is original?

Text:

So i am replacing the digitiser for a customer, but while testing i noticed that touch id couldn’t be activated. so i was wondering if there is a way to determine if the homebutton in the customers’ ipad have been replaced before, causing touchid to malfunction?

thr only thing i see on the home flex is the text: 821-01017-A MFC4017. on the rear side of the silver “box?” of the home flex, there is a qr code, and the text:

821-01

006-A

A E I (The ‘E’ is vertically mirrored)

I don’t see any apple logo, but i don’t think it is protocol on this cable? there is a foam square stuck to the bracket, which i am pretty sure wouldn’t be the case on an unoriginal cable.
