-Generally speaking with E5 Series machines, it depends on the drive setup. The HDD based ones tend to have a smaller battery since Dell uses part of the battery bay for the drive, but if you have one with a card SSD you can fit a larger battery in BUT you cannot have a second drive.

This is the golden rule for pretty much all of them.
On the NVMe generations, it’s not an issue because the drives are worthwhile but on the mSATA ones, you’re better off dealing with the capacity compromise since mSATA is such a garbage standard.
