Microphone doesn't pick up voice, but rather computer audio

everytime i use a mic, instead of taking the audio of my voice and using that, it takes the audio of the computer and uses that. its any mic

The computer im using is a different computer, its a desktop pc with no microphone built in, i have a headset that has two plugs, a mic and a headphone one and they both plug into the front of the pc
