Title:

Possible to replace the ROM?

Text:

I’m pretty sure the ROM has issues, I believe the books on there will be there forever… after a reset my Amazon account was gone but the books were still there. I’ve copied over a new book to it, the drive looked like it was there, but then not there when the usb was unplugged…. several restarts and book copy attempts were the same. I tried formatting it from windows a few times, repairing drive errors, same result. Today I even adjusted the time (it was off by an hour) and on restart it was off again. It seems to have saved a new name of the device though… is this repairable? I see it has a ROM drive for its storage, but how would you get the firmware back?
