Its because there is static charge in the laptop due to this the laptop wont turn on you can drain the static charge by Hard reset.To Hard reset follow the steps

1. Remove the battery (some models may not remove the battery) and the AC adapter.

3. Re-install the battery after 20 minutes and connect the AC adapter, then try to restart your laptop.
