Our iPhone SE (2020) was dropped and the screen then stayed black. The phone still vibrated, made sound, it was even obvious that someone was trying to make a call, only the screen stayed black. The solution seemed obvious: replace the screen.
This I have done, and the replacement screen works! I see the Apple logo light up when I connect the iPhone to the PC, however... the iphone is in a reboot loop.
What I have already tried:
- Attempting to restore the iphone via itunes, itunes finds the iphone when I manually activate the DFU mode, gives a message that the iphone needs to be restored, downloads the iOS version, but then makes the iphone reboot, which puts it back in the loop. When I manually activate DFU mode again itunes says it failed, and I have to try again. Of course the result is the same every time.
- I have read that it could be a problem in the proximity sensor or the home button, so I disconnected both and only connected the ribbon for the screen. As yet, the phone ends up in the loop.
- I disconnected and reconnected the battery connector.
the iphone only seems to turn on when I connect it to the computer, as soon as I pull the usb cable out the iphone also turns off. While the battery was in good condition.
Does anyone have any other ideas
