-First thing I'd ask you is it a standard manual shift or is it a automatic transmission? More than likely you have a automatic. I would suggest that you should check the transmission fluid. It sounds as if it's low of fluid and slipping. If you don't know.how.to check i.suggest you find some one very soon that does as it as this can cause much bigger, more expensive to repair problems.
