@derekmullins Outside of opening and closing the cap at the top of the wand, I don't believe there's any kind of adjustment available for the amount of suction. If your suction isn't what it should be, my first guess would be that there's either some kind of blockage in the hoses or a loose connection is letting air in where it shouldn't. Here are a couple of the suggestions from Dyson on troubleshooting, straight from the Dyson DC14 User Guide.
