-On a lot of airlines, you will either see a normal 120V socket or a cigarette lighter. If they use neither, it may be something like this, which converts to a cigarette adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Lighter-Connector-Non-fused-Compliant/dp/B00KWOFBJE
+On a lot of airlines, you will either see a normal 120V socket or an older style EmPower connector that uses cigarette adapters for the most part [https://www.amazon.com/Cigarette-Lighter-Connector-Non-fused-Compliant/dp/B00KWOFBJE|like this|new_window=true]. However, this is the legacy 75W version and is dated. You don't see it as often as you used tp. New planes/refreshed planes generally have a global power connector, which negates the need for the adapter you had to use on older planes.
-Beyond that, look for a power inverter with 120V AC; base this off of your adapter and what your laptop NEEDS, and if you can go bigger I'd recommend doing so. You can usually find these in auto parts stores or Walmart, but I got a good deal on two Rigid overstock units from a discount tool store at the mall at one point. You can pretty much find these anywhere, but try and get a good one with at least 150-200W to be sure it will work for your laptop and see if you can get a good one from a tool store who specializes in that kind of market first.
+If the plane uses legacy EmPower connections, you will need a 120V AC power inverter. In order to be safe, given the demands of laptops like these, you probably want one that can do ~300W or 250W if you can't find one that can do 300W readily. Higher is fine as well. You can usually find these in auto parts stores or Walmart, but look around: I have seen deals, and I have taken advantage. At one point, I got 2 Rigid units from an outlet tool store in the mall (read: NOT HF). Any decent inverter will work in your case with this laptop.
