Yes, either a logic board or a display problem is possible but the instances of the error you're seeing that I've encountered so far have all been on MacBooks rather than iPhones, so it's not clear what the correlation is yet. I haven't seen anyone who claims to have come up with a fix for it, but most are suggesting a wipe and restore of the MacBook to try and clear it; that would be equivalent to doing a full restore on your phone, making sure you have a backup first, of course.
Plus I don't consider the acronym decoding to be authoritative either; I don't know anything about the person making the claim, so they could have inside knowledge about it or they could just be guessing that DCP means Display Co-Processor.

On earlier versions of the iPhone there haven't really been any kernel panics directly attributable to the screen, but we have seen quite a few related to the battery so if I had to guess I would tend to lean toward the battery first, but it's a crapshoot.

The part that concerns me about the Incell LCD display is that LCDs have different electrical characteristics so aftermarket manufacturers have to basically convert the OLED signals to LCD signals and I don't know what kind of issues that may present; it's entirely possible something got lost in translation and is causing your panics.
