Hi, I've replaced dozens of iPad 2 digis and the first couple tries, the cable did fold right there on the left side and it shouldn't. Here's a tip that I now use for each one and it works great... first, some people affix the new adhesives to the main frame but I secure them to the underside of the glass. Then I peel up the edge of each one just enough to be able to pull them off one at a time before I begin lowering the digi down to the main housing. When laying in the lcd, I get as much of the digi cable under the lcd as I can while installing the 4 screws. (The device shouldn't be open more than 90 degrees from this point on) I make sure the cable is going straight down all the way next to the edge of the lcd - NO FOLDS! It may take some "rocking" back and forth of the digi to feed it down, but you'll feel it sliding in as you close it like a book, and it will make a much better adhesion. Secondly closing it up - secure the right side of the digi inside the edge of the plastic frame first, then do the left side. If one corner doesn't seat properly, you can always use your thumbs to move the digi that last fraction of an inch to make it fit all around. If any one of the corners of the housing are pushed in from dropping it, the digi won't lay properly so the corners may need re-shaping. I broke a glass when I tried forcing it in. So anyway, Good Luck! Any questions: Terry (iphonesfixed1@yahoo.com)
