I’ve solved this from swapping a laser from an exact model drive from a 360 Slim.

I took apart the 360 Slim and its disc drive, removed the laser component and swapped it into the 360E disc drive. I spun up a game and it works!

Is there any way to make the disc drive not so loud too? The Slim Laser seems really loud, unless I’m used to the Series X where it’s really quiet.
