Where did you get your digitizer? I bought 2 off eBay and both of them had dead spots. The sellers claimed they were all tested prior to shipping. I'm sure they maybe plugged them into something but did they check the entire area for dead spots? I doubt it..I finally sent my iPad to Rapid repair in Kalamazoo Michigan and in an hour it was finished and it works fine.
The problems you are having could be a bad screen or in my understanding if you aren't extremely careful you can mess up the digitizer cable ruining a brand new digitizer. Also, did you get your broken digitizer off without tearing the wifi cable?? If you tore the cable you will have no wifi..
