Title:

iPhone 4 stuck in recovery mode

Text:

I have an iPhone 4 that is stuck in recovery mode and cannot be taken out. This issue started about 10 years ago when I updated the iOS version of the iPhone (i think from ios 5.x.x to ios 7.x.x.). The iPhone was running out of storage space and could not perform the update on its own, so I used iTunes and a PC. It therefore seems logical to me that the problem occurred because the update could not be completed due to a lack of storage space.

Shortly after the iPhone got stuck, we tried every tool and guide available at the time to exit recovery mode without deleting the files, but without success.

There are a lot of family pictures on this iPhone that have never been backed up. This was my mother’s phone, and she was understandably very upset about the lost photos shortly after the incident. To this day, I still feel guilty about it.

In the 10 years that have now passed, many new tools and options have become available that may help solve the problem. I would like some advice on whether there are any tools or options available that can help me retrieve the photos from the iPhone. I recently saw that 3uTools has a feature called "fix flash". Could this perhaps help get the iPhone out of recovery mode without losing data? Or is there a way to access the pictures, without leaving recovery mode?

All feedback is welcome. I hope to recover the data myself, but if this turns out not to be an option, I am willing to have it checked by an expert. I hope for the best.
