Issues after Joycon rail repair

A while ago I managed to snap the ribbon cable connecting the Joycon rail to the console (don't ask...)

Today I finally got around to fixing it using the Ifixit guide but now whilst the Joycon is charging it still doesn't register as connected. The other issue that has popped up since is that my micro SD card isn't being recognized whatsoever.

Any help would be appreciated.
