Partybox 200 won't turn on anymore

Hello,

I have had the JBL Partybox for over a year now and suddenly after pretty light use, it just stopped turning on.

The Power light illuminates orange so i know its getting power, I have opened it up and made sure all the ribbon cables and connectors were snug. I also have re-flowed and measured the power switch on the circuit board just to make sure it’s not the switch.

I can’t test any sort of power or connection since I can’t turn it on unfortunately.

I can’t seem to find anyone having the same issues as me so I am hoping I can find some help on here! Thank you in advance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@florentino80661 what have you checked and what have you tried? Tried a factory reset? Checked your circuit boards? Checked your power supply? Checked the battery?

@lindseyclark19 @danmtg @florentino80661 yes, the original is an old question but maybe we can still get this fixed. To start off try something like this

Tried something like this:

Connect the JBL Partybox to the Power Outlet.

Press and hold the Power Button for 30 seconds.

Disconnect the JBL Partybox from the wall.

Press and hold the Power Button for another 30 seconds.

Connect the speaker to the outlet.

Press the Power Button once to turn on the JBL Partybox

I would also try a factory reset. {https://thedroidguy.com/how-to-fix-jbl-p... |this here] should also work for the 200

Next you would need to start checking for the power situation. You all said that you have identical problems, so I suggest that you all check the voltages according to this

Almost 1 year later, I'm here with the %#*@ same issue.

Sorry for waking this topic up guys, I don't really like doing it but since it's literally the same problem on the same device...

Mine didn't have the red light, but the ribbon going to the plates was disconnected. Great, I reconnected it but now it stays orange.

With only my eyes, I couldn't see any burnt surface on the board (and it costs 130$ please let me out of this 😂)

But on the alimentation plate, I can heard kind of a whistle... I don't know if it's normal but why not.

What could I do ? Do you need anything more ?

Thanks in advance

@onelots you have checked the "no-Power" flowchart and checked the voltage on FB40? You've tried a reset? Post some good pictures of the "alimentation plate" so we can see what you see and hopefully we can figure out where the sound comes from. Adding images to an existing question

Hmmm I don't currently have any ways to test the power 😕 no multimeter

I tried every combinaison existing around internet (power+ power up, power+ bluetooth etc)

The only one thing happening is the red light turning off after pushing power during 10s

But it comes back a few ms after it releasing the button

I'll add some pictures tomorrow, I'm not next to the partybox now

Thanks for help anyway
