Why is this TV's one side darker except for some horizontal zones?
TV model: LG 70UM7370PUA
This TV has its right side darker than the left, except for certain horizontal areas where it seems to match the left side in brightness. Additionally, the darker areas on the right side areas seem to refresh slower; when the image abruptly changes, it takes a while before the new image reaches the far right end of the panel, if that makes any sense. Also, it seems there’s some wavelike distortion within the panel itself on the right side, although it’s not too noticeable unless it’s a solid bright color.
I’ve only seen others online whose TVs have horizontal line issues, or whose TVs have one side darker than the other, but none whose TVs seem to match this TVs image condition.
Is there a basic reason why this is happening?
