Hi Brent!

Okay this usually indicates that there is a problem with the dock OR with the power supply (charger) connected to the dock.

Does the charger actually charge the Switch? If yes, then you probably need to replace the docking station to get it working again. If not, replace the charger first.

You can buy the dock from Nintendo. Or from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Switch-D...

If there are any questions, just let me know :).

The charger works fine with everything but the switch. Nintendo won't charge or

do anything at all

So, does the Switch boot normally? Or doesn't boot at all? If this is the case, it's motherboard related and we need to check what failed. Do you have experience with measuring components (on the motherboard) and soldering?

Probably was supposed to be a electrical engineer but I'm a brick mason instead 🫤 but yes definitely is it not possible it's the battery? He fell asleep while playing it. it completely died but was never dropped.

Yes that is possible! But it’s also possible that it’s the charge IC, the USB-C port, Or something else. Best thing to do now (if you don’t have warranty on it), to open it and measure if the battery still have power left. Otherwise, you can buy a new battery and try it!

There is a possibility you have a common fault with the p13usb docking ic or mt92 docking power delivery 3v3 regulatior integrated circuit chips.

You kind find various helpful articles for retro six explaining how to diagnose Nintendo switch boards. The diagnostic process on the oled edition is nearly identical and the information applies to both models the difference being only the psyhical location of the chips

As a board repair business owner I certainly trust and relay on information from this wiki quite often!
