Why wired internet won't connect

My Switch OLED HEG-001 won't connect to wired internet throw the dock. Switch charges in the dock and the image is transferred to the TV. The device was purchased on December 2023 and previously worked. My older switch HAC-001(-01) works fine whit same dock. There is no visible defect in the USB-C port of any devis. The connections are fine, because the assembly works with the old switch. I use the later dock that came with the Switch Oled. Devices have the latest updates.

- Is there any reason to suspect that the USB connector is broken?

- Could the problem be somewhere else, like the motherboard or software?

- Any ideas what to do?

Hi!

Is it possible to use the Switch OLED it’s dock? Maybe this dock is required for the OLED model to connect. Would try this first.

Wifi is working fine, I presume? Could be a lot of things tho. With 2 year warranty, you should be able to send it back. It’s probably not the USB-C port. More motherboard/dock compatibility/software related.

Thanks for advice. It was needed. Software's seems to be tricky. The switch doesn't boot just from turning off the power. The problem that was fixed in the end by after hard booting. The dock was OLED's dock, because in OLDER switch dock does not have a separate wired cable connector.

@markkusill78373 good to hear that it was the dock! I thought that, that was it! Nintendo do have their things.
