Acer launched their Aspire series starting in 2017, with four primary models: 1, 3, 5, and 7. Over time, each iteration brought updated processors and slimmer bezels to the display. Today, Acer has expanded the line into a full fledged series, with even lower priced offerings to choose from. Acer has placed their base model Acer 5 series of products into the $400 to 600 segment of the market, which is ideal for students.
The Acer Aspire A515-45 achieves the role of a general all-purpose machine built for the casual household, school, and light business work. For those users, this machine is great. Acer has discontinued this particular model of the Aspire A515-45 in favor of refreshed models with more modern processors, as is typical for laptop manufacturers.
Although the device was released in 2021, Acer has managed to pack a lot of technology in a very compact form factor. It features Wi-Fi 6, a fingerprint reader, an IPS display, along with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB-C port.
