If you are having any issues with your Asus A53S laptop, you can find a troubleshooting page [[Asus A53S Troubleshooting|here|new_window=true]].
The Asus A53S is a large screened outlook laptop with a built-in graphics card and I5 processing unit. The A53S model was released by Asus, a multinational Taiwanese company, in 2011 and was one of the many variations of laptops within the A53 series produced by this company. The laptop consists of 3 USB ports (2 on the left and 1 on the right side of the laptop), 1 HDMI port, 1 ethernet port, 2 aux ports (1 for audio and 1 for a microphone), a disk drive, and a charging port.
The laptop weighs 5.74 pounds and has a black exterior with an interior color that can consist of Black, Blue, or Pink. The laptop has measurements consisting of a 15.12" x 10.12" x 1.40" frame and a 15.6” screen. The laptop uses an Intel Core i5-2410M 2.30GHz CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M GPU.
Although the Asus A53S was not in the prime of its time in terms of technology, the device was not only affordable but was high quality for the time it was produced, having the capability to run anything someone could have needed for activities one might need a computer for. Although loved overall in its release in 2011, the most common grievance all users had for the device was the bloatware, software that is unwanted yet installed on brand new devices, but the bloatware was easy to remove from the device.
Asus develops multiple variations of the laptop over time, upgrading the hardware and software of the laptop twelve times in total with multiple different series.
This ASUS laptop is identified by its model number, A53S, which can be found on the bottom of the laptop in the top left corner. The ASUS A53S laptop can be identified primarily due to its graphics card. Out of the entire A series of computers manufactured by ASUS, the A53S laptop model is the only laptop that contains an NVIDIA GeForce 610M graphics card, 1GB DDR3 VRAM, DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, and 2.5” SATA HDD. The laptop is powered by an Intel Core i5-2410 processor and includes a 15.6-inch high-definition LED-backlit display. Additional features include a 6cell 5200mAh 56Whrs lithium battery, 4-in-1 card reader, microphone-in jack, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA port, HDMI, RJ45 LAN jack, headphone-out jack, and Altec Lansing speakers. The IceCool Technology keeps your hands cool when they are resting on the keyboard, keeping heat-producing components away from users.
