This projector was released in 2016 on Amazon where it has over 7,000 reviews with an average of 4 out of 5 stars. It is still a top seller on the site. It can also be purchased on ebay where it is also a top seller, however the manufacturer directly links to Amazon for purchases.
Even though this projector is highly rated, there is a compatibility issue with Netflix’s 5.1 track audio codec. All Netflix content defaults to this format, so the user must manually adjust the audio track to a “regular” audio track in the video settings (if it is available). Most content on netflix does not have an alternative 2.0 PCM Stereo audio stream to select instead of the 5.1 which the projector does not support. Depending on what version of the Netflix app and on what device you are running it, you may or may not have the available settings option to have the Netflix app downmux the 5.1 stream into PCM on the fly (the WiiU Netflix app, for instance, has no such setting/ability).
The DBPower T20 weighs in at 2.1 pounds, and measures 12 x 8 x 4.5 making it a “mini” size projector. It supports display resolutions up to 1080p full HD (though its actual maximum resolution is 800x480 and everything above that is downscaled when displayed), with 1000:1 contrast ratio . It also has a display size range of 32”-176" with a projector distance of between 1.5m-5m. The LED bulb produces 1,800 lumens with TFT LCD imaging technology. This projector is tailored for at home use, with ability to connect to smartphones, iPads, gaming consoles, computers, and streaming devices.
