For Troubleshooting assistance please see the wiki located [[LG Grace Troubleshooting|here|new_window=true]]; it should aid in identifying some of the most common problems with the device.
The LG Grace is a budget model smartphone from 2017 that seems to have been widely praised as good for it's cost in the user reviews I found on various vendor pages. It was released through TracFone, a pay-as-you go wireless service that has since been acquired by Verizon. As such, this phone was never attempting to be the best of the best; it was attempting to be an affordable option for the segment of the population either unable or unwilling to pay the frankly exorbitant costs attached to flagship model smart phones, and that's a niche that is necessary and, more to the point, good. Having been discontinued as of 2023, it is my hope that this guide will allow someone who doesn't want to buy a new phone the option to keep this workhorse of a phone running even after official support has ended.
At a modest 100 dollar price-tag, this phone was much more accessible to budget-minded people, and, in a world where smartphones have become almost a necessity, serves to create a more equitable society. The phone itself isn't remarkable, it's a downgraded version of LG K20 with less powerful components across the board. It has both rear and front facing cameras, a large high definition screen, blue tooth capabilities and even expandable memory. Apparently, it is able to perform every function it's user base requires as I failed to find many negative reviews for the device.
If one were to look for a phone from LG filling a similar niche today, you wouldn't find one because LG has stopped producing mobile phones as of 2023. A similarly priced, $100 prepaid phone today would be the Motorola Moto G Play. It's a upgrade in every conceivable way, double the battery life, a larger screen, a more modern USB C port, double the RAM, and quadruple the storage. In every way possible this is a better phone, but it's also to be expected after 6 years of technological development: things get better and faster and what was premium becomes budget. If your Grace is salvageable then by all means please try and fix it and keep it in operation. Every phone we don't throw out is a victory. If you need a new phone though and are looking for something filling the same space, the Moto G is a great place to start.

Identifying that this is your particular model of phones should not be particularly difficult. It's branded with LG on both the back and front panels, so if your phone isn't an LG then you're in the wrong place. Uniquely, unlike most smartphones, the back panel is easily removable and the battery simple to replace, and this should help narrow it down further. However, if you've already confirmed that the battery is removable, you will be faced with a small sticker beneath the battery. This sticker features the model number before anything else and our model number, as stated earlier, LGL59BL. If you can confirm that number on your phone then you can be sure that your phone is an LG Grace and these guides will be relevant. If you're sticker is removed, please refer to the technical specifications and confirm that it matches the dimensions listed there. This phone is also identifiable through the power button located on the back face of the phone underneath the camera. If you've confirmed all these physical characteristics of your device, then you can be as certain as possible without a model number, that your device is an LG Grace.
