Background and Identification

The D50 is a consumer/prosumer DSLR camera released by Nikon in 2005. It features a 6.1 MP DX format CCD sensor. It uses lenses compatible with the Nikon F mount. Unlike many entry-level Nikon models, the D50 has the autofocus motor built into the body. It is succeeded by the D40.
