The Samsung Gear Sport is a smartwatch released from Samsung in 2017. It includes standard activity tracker capabilities, as well as more advanced features like GPS navigation, Samsung Pay, and app interaction. The Gear Sport also allows the user to receive alerts and respond to texts. Furthermore, the Samsung Gear Sport can be integrated with smart home devices to control the IoT (Internet of Things) network. For instance, the smartwatch can be set up to control home appliances, lights, door locks, and other electronics, such as TVs. This means losing the TV remote won’t prevent you from catching a sitcom or sporting event. Additionally, the Samsung Gear Sport is also water-resistant up to 50 meters, meaning you can still track your water workout.

The Samsung Gear Sport uses a Bluetooth connection to pair with compatible smartphones, allowing the user to control and interact with the smartwatch through the Samsung Connect app.
