Die Toniebox ist kleines Audiogerät für Kinder ab 3 Jahren. Im Frühjahr 2016 wurde sie von der neu gegründeten Firma Boxnie aus Düsseldorf auf den Markt gebracht. Die Hörspielinhalte werden zunächst per WLAN aus einer Cloud geladen, wenn eine kleine Figur mit eingebautem NFC Chip (Tonies) auf sie gestellt wird, danach dient der Tonie als Start/Stop Knopf, wenn er aufgesetzt oder abgenommen wird. Die Toniebox hat eine stoßfeste Ummantelung und eine einfache Bedienung über Bewegungssteuerung.

== Background and Identification ==

The Toniebox is a compact audio player for kids above the age of 3. It was released in early 2016 by the new founded company Boxnie from Düsseldorf (Germany). The Audiofiles are loaded from the cloud, if a small figurine with an NFC Chip (Tonie) is placed on the Toniebox. After the audio files are downloaded from the cloud and stored on the internal storage, the Tonies are used as a start/stop button, when they are placed on or removed from the Toniebox. The Toniebox has a soft shell and easy motion controlls.
