Windows 7 is an operating system produced by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems and was released after Windows Vista in 2009. The Windows 7 was designed for home and business personal computers, including desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, etc.
Windows 7 featured pinned icons, live thumbnails, jump lists, window snaps, new ways to organize files, improved back up, and less notifications. There is an improved new taskbar, advanced handwriting recognition, and support for virtual hard disks. Windows 7 also came with a new version of Windows Media Center, an XPS essentials pack, and Windows PowerShell.
Even though the mainstream support for Windows 7 has ended, you can still purchase a PC running Windows 7. The Windows 7 operating system is still very popular and remains the number one OS in the world. Windows 7 is approximately on 47% of existing PCs, with Windows 10 seeing less usage at 23%.
