The ZTE Axon is an Android smartphone produced by ZTE and released in October 2015. ZTE Corporation, based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, is one of China’s main telecommunications equipment manufacturers. As of 2012, it was considered the 4th largest mobile phone company in the world.
The ZTE Axon includes a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels. It features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. The phone runs on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The ZTE Axon includes 32 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM. It does not have a card slot, so the memory and RAM is not expandable. The phone features dual main cameras with one 13-megapixel sensor and one 2-megapixel depth sensor. It also includes an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The ZTE Axon includes a 3000 mAh non-removable battery, meaning its battery is attached to the inside of the phone with a permanent adhesive, making repair and replacement more difficult than for removable batteries.
The ZTE Axon includes a micro-USB 2.0 port and a Micro-SIM port. The name “Axon” is printed in capital letters in the center of the phone’s backing. The ZTE Axon was sold in gold, silver, and blue body colors. The phone features 10-Watt charging and quick charging capabilities.
