For further help with the ZTE Maven 2, visit this [[ZTE Maven 2 Troubleshooting|troubleshooting page|new_window=true]].
The ZTE Maven 2 (Model Number: Z831) phone was released in July of 2017 and is tailored to users that want to own a smartphone with a reasonable price tag. This device typically costs between $80 - $100, while other smartphones are in the $200 - $1,700 range. The phone weighs 5.86 oz with a glass front and plastic exterior. In comparison to the ZTE Maven 3, the ZTE Maven 2 has more bulk, does not have an HD display, and has 3.4GB of internal memory (the ZTE Maven 3 has 5.6GB of internal memory). The ZTE Maven 2 has a standby time of up to 408 hours with a talk time of 18 hours. The ZTE Maven 2 touchscreen display is 5” with a resolution of 480x854 pixels.
Even though the ZTE Maven 3 was released in August the same year, the ZTE Maven 2 has not been discontinued. While this device is sold worldwide, one thing to note is that this phone is tied to the AT&T company and can only be utilized with an AT&T SIM card unless you have bought an unlocked version of the phone. There have been no recalls for this product.
The ZTE Maven 2 is a dark gray device that serves as a handheld phone. The device itself is moderately sized, and shouldn’t be larger than the palm of your hands. It has a removable back cover with a thin black slot in the bottom right corner, where the speaker is located. There is a distinct "AT&T" symbol about ¼ of the way down the back of the phone located directly under the rear camera and flash. The front of the phone should say “ZTE” at the top next to the front-facing camera.
