ClamCase is a Houston, Texas-based company that creates accessories for the Apple iPad, iPad 2, and iPad 3. ClamCases incorporate a full QWERTY keyboard with 14 keys dedicated to your device’s functions. The cases are designed with 360-degree hinges so the keyboard can be folded back out of the way when watching videos or using the tablet’s touchscreen capabilities. ClamCase protective cases are produced for Apple’s range of iPad tablets.
The iPad is an iPad operating system-based line of tablet computers designed and developed by Apple, Inc. Previously, iPads ran on Apple’s iOS operating system. iPads have a wide variety of accessories produced by Apple and other companies like ClamCase. ClamCases are designed to turn iPad tablets into MacBook-like computers by providing a built-in keyboard. Some ClamCase variants also double as desk stands. The original ClamCase variants for older, larger iPads featured solid aluminum keyboards that provided a MacBook feeling with a polycarbonate case.
“The Trooper” is a limited edition ClamCase model inspired by StarWars that includes rubber feet for more stable support on a desk and/or tabletop. ClamCase tablet case reviews are generally positive, with most complaints being related to lack of communication with the customer and delays in shipping orders. According to a review of the ClamCase Pro from CNet, the case is one of the most versatile keyboards available for iPad devices.
