GE Tec 5 Repair

General Electric Company is an American company founded in 1892 by Thomas Edison, Edwin J. Houston, Elihu Thomson and Charles A. Coffin. GE’s technologies have improved the lives of billions of people around the world. GE created a ventilation system for out of circuit use in continuous flow techniques of inhalation in anesthesia. Anesthesia vaporizers are used in hospital departments requiring the administration of an inhalation agent.

In 2010, the Tec 5 vaporizers were discontinued and were replaced by newer versions with updated features. The GE Tec 5 is designed to be used on Selectatec  Series  Mounted  Manifolds. This model has a large dial release on the top of the apparatus and filler body to hold anesthetic agents. To the right of the filler body is a sight glass indicator to how much of the agent is inside of the device.

The GE Tec 5 is preceded by Tec 4 superseded by newer versions, like Tec 7. Later versions share the same compatibility with anesthetic systems as the Tec 5, but come with an easy fill adapter and streamline the maintenance system.
