Background
Released in November 2023, the latest 16" MacBook Pro gets an upgrade with Apple's also-new-for-late-2023 M3 Pro and M3 Max SoCs, featuring up to 12-core or 16-core CPUs and up to 18-core or 40-core GPUs respectively. Both the updated 16" MacBook Pro and its smaller 14" MacBook Pro sibling share many of the same features found in early 2023 MacBook Pros, including the same ports, ProMotion HDR mini-LED displays, 1080p webcams with a display notch, full-size function keys, and the distinctive blacked-out keyboard. Small, yet notable other upgrades for late 2023 include a slightly larger battery and a new color option—Space Black.
Starting at a price of $2499, the late 2023 16" MacBook Pro is available in either Silver or Space Black.
