Background and Identification
The Quest Pro features Meta's first foray into pancake optics, a design that reduces the size of the frontend of the HMD. Meta also moved the battery, previously found in the frontend on the Quest 2, and integrated a curved cell design in the adjustable strap module that sits behind the rear head cushion.
While the HMD itself was widely criticized for a lack of features when compared to its $1,499.99 price point, the Quest Pro controllers received praise for its design, ergonomics, and clever use of cutting edge technology to fully eliminate the tracking ring that is a prominent feature on other VR controllers.
