Background

The PalmPilot Professional represents one of the earliest models of the PalmPilot merchandising line. Introduced in early 1997, the device was very marketable due to its compact design and back light.

Identification

The Professional is a rectangular shape (opposed to the newer curved models) and is a slate gray color. The device has the ability to sync with a PC via a cradle which is not included with the PDA. It runs on two AAA batteries, has a weight of 6 oz., a RAM of 1 MB, and a Palm OS 2.0 operating system. The PalmPilot Professional 3com was discontinued in March 1998.
